There are many benefits to renting and owning. If you are taking classes outside your major, renting might save you some money!
Are you interested in digital course materials?
Digital course materials are accessable from computers and iOS and Android devices. They are paper-free and are usually cheaper.
Do you mind if we make substitutions?
A substitution occurs when your book preference (used or new) is unavailable or sold out. If you allow substitutions you may get NEW books instead of USED, or USED books instead of NEW and your order price will change.
Are you an Education Major?
You may be required to purchase a LiveText subscription which is not listed with your textbooks.

Because you are renting books...
- I understand that I must provide a credit/debit card that expires after even if I am paying with Financial Aid.
- I understant that my credit/debit card will only be charged if I fail to return my books.
Since you are paying with Financial Aid...
- I understand that I must apply to use Financial Aid at University Store every semester.
- I understand that if my financial aid is insufficient, I will be liable for the balance of my purchase.
Because you're buying digital course materials...
- I understand that the digital materials expire after 180 days.
- I understand that I do not need to buy a physical book in order to buy an eBook.
- I understand that I will receive access to my course materials after my order has been processed.
Since I am an education major...
- I understand that I may need a LiveText subscription, and that it will not be listed with my course materials.
Return Policy
- I have read and understand the following Return Policy
- I must present the original receipt.
- I must present the original form of payment.
- The text must be in the same, sellable condition.
- New, shrinkwrapped textbooks must be returned shrinkwrapped.
- Returns are due or must be postmarked seven (7) business days after purchase.
- Refunds are honored seven (7) business days after purchase.
- I understand that textbook preorder is not available for the UW Summer Session

Physical Textbook/Non-Digital
Brown-shaded textbook listings denote that the book is either hardback or paperback, and will be mailed to you. University Store makes no guarantees about availability as physical inventory changes constantly.
Electronic/Digital Books
Green-shaded textbook listings represent electronic books that you will access online via a computer or tablet. You do not need to purchase a Physical Textbook to use an eBook/Jumpbook.
